जमशेदपुर: बागबेड़ा में बाढ़ आ गई है। यहां नदी किनारे रहने वाले लोगों के 200 घरों में पानी घुस गया है। ये मकान पानी में डूब गए हैं। बागबेड़ा महानगर विकास समिति के अध्यक्ष जल पुरुष सुबोध झा शुक्रवार रात से ही क्षेत्र में डटे हुए हैं। उन्होंने अधिकारियों को इसकी सूचना दे दी थी। शनिवार की सुबह प्रशासनिक अधिकारी मौके पर पहुंचे और हालात का जायजा लिया। बाढ़ प्रभावित लोगों को शेल्टर देने के लिए बागबेड़ा नया बस्ती के प्राइमरी स्कूल को खोल दिया गया है। जिनके घरों में पानी भर गया है, उन्हें इस स्कूल में शिफ्ट किया जा रहा है।
बागबेड़ा नया बस्ती, बडौदा घाट, सिद्धू कानू बस्ती, रिवर व्यू कॉलोनी, बिरधा बागान आदि के निचले हिस्से के मकान बाढ़ के पानी में डूब चुके हैं। बताते हैं कि यह बाढ़ इलाके में लगातार हो रही बरसात के चलते आई है। क्योंकि, नदी का पानी बागबेड़ा की तरफ ना घुसे। इसके लिए स्लुइस गेट बंद कर दिया गया है। इससे बाढ़ का पानी नदी की तरफ नहीं जा पा रहा है। बागबेड़ा महानगर विकास समिति के अध्यक्ष सुबोध झा का कहना है कि स्लुइस गेट को खोला जाए। ताकि बस्तियों में भरा पानी बाहर निकल सके।
